Student loan help.....

I've read all the bumf, and I'm still no clearer about our situation re student loans/grants etc.
Would it be possible for someone to explain it in fairly easy terms please
as we've had conflicting advice from school and what I've read online, friends and other forums.
Our DD is off to uni this year. My DH runs a limited company and we draw a salary from there. I am also a director, but have a part time job (minimum wage).
Q1) Do we fill in the employed or self employed bit? I am thinking employed as we are paid a salary from the business.
q2) do I include salary and dividends in our income?
q2) Our income is substantially less this year. Apparently we have to fill in a form to say this.
Any other advice? I'm not even sure we are going to qualify for a maintenance grant but I can't work this out until I know what we have to declare as income, and how we declare it - i.e. employed or self employed.
Thank you

PS - we also have two more dependent children and I can't see anywhere we have to put in about those to be taken into account?0
