MSE is great for flagging up attractive switching offers - but sometimes the information is misleading.

The blurb about the switching offer to the Co-operative bank suggests that you need to pay in £800.00 per month, however I reckon it's only a one off deposit that's required.

Some of these switching offers (which don't require big monthly pay ins) are good news if you have a dormant or non essential current account that you can move a couple of direct debits into and then "sacrifice" it to switch to one of the top switching offers.

The £800 a month is what you need to fund the Current Account Plus for each month otherwise they'll convert the account into Standard Current Account and you'd lose the overdraft facility. You're right to say you only need to pay in £800 in total in a single month if all you're interested in is the switching bonus however.
