Appealed after a NTK but then got a letter from DRP

Hi there,
I've been following the advice in the newbies sticky and sent an appeal letter following the receipt of a NTK from Parking Collection Services. They however didn't send back any decision on that appeal so therefore no code for a POPLA appeal. Instead, i have just received a demand from DRP.
Should I continue to wait for the POPLA code or contact PCS again and ask for one?
Thanks so much all the advice here!

Which PPC?
I can't find a Parking Collection Services anywhere, I recall this is actually a debt collector. The name of the parking company will be in their 'NtK' and will also state who you should have appealed to (it's often NOT PCS).Je Suis Cecil.0 -
Hey Manx,
thanks for the reply. On the back of the letter from PCS it outlines that i should appeal to them and they say they will then cancel the PCN or refer to POPLA. Is this a trick maybe? to dupe me into not appealing to the correct company within the 28 day limit? Their letter says their client is Greater London Key Holding Ltd.
Thanks!0 -
the client is the PPC
you should report them both to the BPA and state that you sent an appeal on (date) , enclose a copy, also give them evidence like proof of posting and any other paperwork, let them sort out the lack of a reply to your appeal with popla code
PCS is also DRP afaik
in a nutshell, you havent heard back from the appeal but are not receiving debt collector letters from PCS who are acting as the "back office" for that PPC
full details are in the NEWBIES sticky thread (as is everything else people need)0 -
Yes, complaint to BPA Ltd that Greater London Key Holding Ltd are in breach of the code of practice by continuing to process a ticket while in receipt of an appeal, and you want to know what action BPA Ltd are going to take as a result of the breach.
Remember, you're not asking BPA to cancel the ticket, you're asking them to take action against one of their members who has breached the code of practice.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
Ok, great. thanks ManxRed and RedX. I'll do that straight away.0

Hi there. here's a progress report. As suggested, I complained to BPA. They responded very quickly. Yesterday I received a 'notice of intended court action' from DRP. But then today I received a letter from BPA saying they had been in contact with Greater London Keyholding who have said the overlooked my appeal, apologised and have cancelled the parking charge. So i guess it's over! Thank you for all your help!
Info for anyone else in contact with these companies - GLK, PCS and DRP are just the one company masquerading as different companies, in order to scare you into paying.0 -

Well done, but make sure you keep the letter from the BPA safe. If you get more debt collector bog paper, complain again to the BPA and send a copy of the letter from them saying the charge has been cancelled.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
