Blue badges in open top car

Hi everyone,
First time posting for a long time.
Have a problem with blue badges. I have just acquired a classic car which has an open top.
If I display my blue badge on the windscreen when parked either on a yellow line or in a council disabled bay, it will get knicked (obvious as no roof!). If I don't display it, or some light-fingered Fred steals it, I will get knicked for not displaying it, which I always do.
My county council's advice when I asked what they would like me to do to protect the blue badge which they always stress "belongs to them" was "Get another car!".
Anyone else come up against this problem please? If so, how do you deal with it please?

Council should issue some kind of unique e-numbers to be displayed instead of badge.
And the wardens then could check the e-number through their little devices.0 -
a problem that has plaged motorcycleist for almost a century , with no help , but plenty of extra money going into the DVLA,s coffers for replacements

Invent something (maybe a bit like motorbike tax disc holders), then you can sell it on to other BB holders.0

I have seen a blue badge holder that you lock to your steering wheel in a competition once, I guess they must be sold somewhere.
Just googled and came up with this:
