  • Can we change the thread title from 'SPAR RIP OFF' to 'CUSTOMER DOESNT CHECK PRICE BEFORE BUYING'

Loses a bit of its impact but a much more truthful account

Is it though? Should it not be 'Customer assumes pack size is different to actual pack size'?

Not just pound shops, certain chocolate bar multi-packs have gone from four to three in Sainsbury's, but still a pack of four in Asda. I guess that lets them side-step their price comparison as well.

And.... just to further add...... have you seen the size of boxes of Roses and Quality Street recently!!!! Shocking Really...... not much in them now-a-days.....

Wonder has anyone done a comparison on the thickness of chocolate Easter Eggs recently.... some look big but the egg itself aint that thick compared to the "old days" !!!!! Possibly a little job for a money saving enthusiast !!

Not only have the tin shrunk but when they're opened they're usually half empty with very few of the more popular sweets.

It is Tropicana, not Spar, that have changed the standard size of their packs. (This is not a Poundland type thingummibob.) As other supermarkets charge £2.20 for the 850ml carton it is fair enough for Spar to highlight they only charge £2 for theirs.

If you are price sensitive about Tropicana you wouldn't be paying £2 for a 1 litre pack in the first place.
