PPI claim FSCS

Hi all i,m new so please excuse. I currently have a claim in to the FSCS for PPI with Norton finance, deloitte are dealing with the case. I have received a letter from them this morning saying that they have received my application and the initial reviews have been completed and it has been passed onto the data gathering team so I'm guessing they have all the info they need.
When I initially contacted the FSCS they said that I had another PPI claim with another company and did I want to claim against them. Problem is I don't have any details on this loan and because of this they could not pursue the claim. So the question is how do I find out about this claim if I don't have any account numbers or paperwork for this.
Cheers Rob

If in last 6 years it will be on your credit report, otherwise have to risk £10 on a DSAR to the loan company and see what they have left on you - could just ring them up if you want details but no guarantee they will still have records and beyond that your complaint is over

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

The FSCS know you had a loan with PPI, why didn't they tell you who the company was?.

I agree with amersall, if the FSCS know about another PPI policy that falls under their remit then you dont need details as they will already have details. That is why they told you.

You may get lucky with a DSAR request, this costs £10 and they have 40 days to respond.
Send it to the company, you request all information they hold on you.

Give as much info as you can, address if you have moved since the credit was taken out, DOB etc to help them find you, you may not get any joy but you can try.
Get as much info from FSCS that they have, it may help.
  • Hi,
I wondered how you went on with the Norton claim and how long it took to process?
