Diy kitchens (company), worktops and other questions

I am thinking of buying a kitchen from Diy Kitchens, considering their L shaped + islands seem reasonably priced and judging by their reviews I've seen across different sites. Unless anyone has any factors to consider that I don't know of? This is for my parents.

They don't include worktop prices so I'm wondering what moneysavers use? Want quality but best price so does anyone recommend any reliable websites they have saved please?

I'm not sure what you mean by this, they have a range of worktops on their website. We went for Duropal.

I'm seeing now where the prices come in expensive in normal stores. The worktops for L-shapes are £1000+ on diy kitchens and I can't imagine how much it would cost for an island as well.

I have ordered a painted Broadoak kitchen in farrow and ball 'borrowed light' which is being delivered end of March.
I have done a lot of research and have only seen good reviews. It is worth going on their Facebook page to see photos of real kitchens.
Don't forget to look at all the tabs for the plinths, fillers etc.
their prices are fantastic when compared to other retailers.

We had a very unsuccessful trip at one of the newer high street stores. They didnt measure properly so there was nothing to work on so I have measured everything including how far the window is from the ground, walls and so on and now looking for a 3d planner which I can add kitchen units and things to. Does anyone have any recommendations please?

You could use the IKEA planner - it would mean you having to work out what equivalents could fit, and bear in mind the sizes are limited compared to DIY.

Our DIY kitchen is, in my opinion, better than a Sheraton kitchen we got a few years ago.

Why do you want a 3D planner? Unless it is tailored to match the DIY sizes exactly there could be issues. If you draw everything out on a sheet of squared paper you can check it fits.

I've just ordered our new kitchen from DIY kitchens. The range and quality/price looks excellent. We'll get our worktops/appliances elsewhere since these are not any cheaper than John Lewis etc..

We were surprised to have to pay a delivery surcharge (£50) for Norfolk, and also you'll need to pay extra to have the hinges fitted - it's all when you go to pay. One thing which did flummox me was they give the size of their lorry and ask you to state if it can deliver to your home - I'm not a lorry driver so have no idea whats possible!

They have 10% off cupboards etc before 9th March...

That is where I have ordered my kitchen from, as per my post above.
We ordered the Duropal laminate and sink and taps from them as well as we thought much cheaper than john lewis.
Though we have ordered appliances from John Lewis.

Which kitchen did you buy? I am slightly worried in case I don't like the colour when it arrives.
