Underpaid JSA??

So i signed on 3 weeks ago after becomnig unemployed.

Received my letter saying i was getting £73.10 a week and this letter was dated 14th feb and this was going to be from the 10th of feb. All well and good i thought.

So get payed at midnight check the amount in my aco!!!! and its £113  So from leaving work to my first payment today I've had £113 and no letter saying theirs been a issue of any sort and that i would be getting a new amount.

Has this happened to anyone else? or has any1 heard of reasons why this would happen? I signed Friday gone?

Thanks in advance

    £73.10? Really? JSA

    Over 25's get £72.40

The 1st 3 days I believe are unpaid and if you got a payment today its for two weeks up to last Friday.

Have you actually signed or just had an appointment?

First three days are unpaid so that's where you may have had a reduction

No i signed, and everything is done correct.

I'm not bothered really about the extra week or so its more about the £56 a week they seem to be wanting to pay me.

And the letter does say they would be paying me FROM 10 feb and in the past it has alwasy been the FROM date :/

When I made a claim I had to wait a little while for a sign on date after my initial interview and that's the date I would claim from. Plus you take away rate of three days. So looks like the rate per day is around £10 so that correlates to 140 quidish minus 30 quid which would be the £113 amount. You may get letter today or tommorow i indicating the rate you got, I did for the few months when I started due to changes in income. I got an initial letter saying this is how much jsa I'm entitled to but then another one to say how much I will actually get.

Yes it does. Think about it you get paid £70 then divide that by 7 so works out £10 a day

If you signed on the 13th then you would have actually got money on the 16th feb. Did you not get this or was the 13th the day of your initial interview.

My initial interview was the 12th.

So guess that makes sense, also they maybe sanctioning me due to how i left my last employment, but i've heard that due to it being under stress and anxiety this wont happen due to it being mental health and backed up by my doctor.
