New kitchen - Alno or Second Nature

Hi...newbie here after some advice please.

We are in the process of purchasing a new kitcdefinitelynd have seen 2 we like from 2 different independent kitchen companies. The choices are Alno or Second Nature.

Does anyone have any advice/reviews on which make would be the better option please? It is definitely going to be a handle less range, most probably gloss and we are wanting a solid worktop like quartz etc.

Thank you.

    Hi looby1

    Welcome.

If you are looking at a handleless kitchen, Second Nature wont give you the kind of detail that a German kitchen will so on that front alone, Alno would be the way to go. I assume your quote (or atleast thats how it should be) for the Alno is much higher than the Second Nature kitchen.

However, Alno is far from a good value German product. Alno is really a very mediocre overpriced product and if you want a German handleless kitchen there are atleast half dozen other German brands that offer better quality & detail at lower prices so seek them out.

    Good luck with your search.

  • Thank you so much ryder for your prompt reply!

The quote for Alno was 9100 all in with quartz worktops, integrated dishwasher, induction hob, double oven. That was with fitting/electrics etc. Kitchen size is 9'9" x 7'11" so not massive. We haven't received our quote for the Second Nature kitchen yet.

The problem we have is in our area there is not much choice for independent kitchen companies. The only one that stocks any German brand at all is the Alno one. Then we have a Howdens and Benchmark.

Could you suggest any German brands which you would recommned and also how I woild source these?

Its all new to us and we feel very out of our depth. Everytime we go to a company we come away convinced thata the one we want to use and then start researching and change our minds!!

The budget we have for everything is probably no more than 10k.

    Thanks again.
