Hi. Does anybody know where will help me to fill out my daughter's DLA forms in Manchester. I'm really struggling with them

CAB,welfare rights(if you still have one),you can also get a lot of help on the internet or from relevant charities etc concerned with whatever her problems are0

The key to a successful DLA application in my experience (and I've written a few successful ones) is to state very clearly throughout the document -and preferably after every point of evidence you make - is that the needs/supervision etc. of your child are 'more than those of a typical child aged...' State this as often as possible.0

Agree with the above, its also useful to pay a personal visit to your local councillors office (or MP) This can be very helpful in an Election year, they can point you in the right direction for some assistance.
Good luck.I'd like to teach the World to sing in perfect Harmony:j

We got the West Lancs Disability Helpline involved, they were very helpful. Do you have something similar in Manchester?“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

Really the best thing to do is just to tell the truth, but spell it out. Assume they know nothing at all about your daughter's needs. Repeat things if necessary. Don't say things like 'she can only walk a short distance', tell them the distance. If she needs help, for example, to go shopping, then she always needs that help, even if she only shops once a week. So you don't say, 'she needs help once a week to go shopping', you say 'she needs help every time she goes shopping'.
It's not really that difficult, just time consuming, but I agree with others, ask the CAB or a charity connected to her disability if you are having problems.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Telling the truth and DLA application form is unheard of!0

Well it shouldn't be.
When we helped our son's partner fill in her forms, we told nothing but the truth, but did so in great detail. She was awarded DLA with no problem .(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Get as much supporting evidence as you can. I included the 27 hospital appointment letters from the previous 12 months. When the lady from CAB came out to me she asked what was the worst daily tasks & the worse struggle I had then put that down as the norm. She said because my condition will only get worse day by day putting in what a good day was like would be pointless. Because I managed to dress myself 1 day the week before I was so proud of myself. She pointed out they would think that if I did it once then I could always do it. I have MS so what I can do today I may not be able to do again for a couple of weeks. Also check distances walked. I put 500 meters so my claim was booted outed because I could walk more than 50. meters. My mistake was the decimal point. Should have just put 5 meters. Luckily it was overturned on appeal 11 months later & backdated. When I went to the appeal tribunal I was warned the walk from waiting room to interview room would be further than I could walk as stated on my form. As I am usually in my powered wheelchair that didn't bother me. I was also told of someone who had bent down to pick up pen dropped by someone in a wheelchair. later that same day the man who had dropped the pen was seen in the gym. He was not disabled at all but a member of staff from dwp who was there to spy on a particular individual who was actually fit & well but still claiming he couldn't work even though he was still fixing roofs. Unfortunately for those thousands of us that actually need it a there are a few who abuse the system which makes us look bad. Remember to photocopy everything you send & get a proof of posting (free) from the post office. That way dwp can't deny you have sent anything. Also include a list of everything you nave sent stapled to the 1st item. Then they can't say that a particular item wasn't included. They just love to use delaying tactics. Good luck.0

With the exception of photocopying the form, this is all very poor advice.0 -
