in Credit cards
I hired an Avis car for 12 days in Italy last month through Airmiles I paid Airmiles partly through airmiles vouchers & balance by credit card. When I returned from holiday discovered the full amount had been taken from my credit card by Avis for the hire. As i did not book the car directly from Avis surely they had no right to charge my credit card. I am in contact with Avis but progress is slow. Have i any redress through my credit card "Amazon Mastercard"

Yes, contact your card issuer and dispute the value of the charge (it might take a while to resolve whilst they investigate)0
