Even if its the 1st December that would only be just over 3 months ago and it'd be fairly unlikely to be resolved that quickly. Even without the issues of Xmas and peak season you're typically looking at 3-6 months for a nice simple case.

The nightmare continues. The issue with the named driver is now resolved. We're having all sorts of problems with the license issue. We've received numerous letters saying she needs to send proof to the data validators. I've now sent six emails with jpgs, pdfs and zip files containing the photos, I've even uploaded them to my private web server. Yet they are peppering her with calls, sending threatening emails and letters and were now having to spend her 25th birthday trying to get this resolved.

I'm very tempted to get legal advice tomorrow as they're threatening to cancel her insurance and I've tried and tried to get this matter resolved. Clearly something on their end is failing because I've bcc'd the last few emails and they've opened fine.

She's going to phone them tomorrow. This has gone beyond a joke now. If there was any way to back out, we would. Awful organisation.

No. Have a read of the cancellation rights in the policy.

The last thing she wants is a policy cancelled by an insurer.

If I was you/your girlfriend, I would escalate this matter as a complaint and get somebody more senior involved. As somebody else has mentioned, check your statement of fact and see whether the licence/claim has been mentioned.
