They seem to have some really good deals for the carribean....

Not sure whether there is a catch or something!??!

We went to florida and booked our flight with Travel city Direct -they were half the price that we were quoted by Virgin -we had no complaints at all. Free drinks, food, headsets the main difference was thatwe didnt get our own seat back tv but for a saving of £1800 we decided it was well worth it

We've used them twice to Florida (though it was a few yrs ago) and been happy with the price and general level of service.
They do seem quite well organised and provide a welcome pack with info & discount vouchers, they think maybe useful and in Florida they have offices at the mall's should you need anything whilst away.

We were due to leave Florida just as Hurricane Frances arrived and we couldn't leave for nearly a week (hardly their fault) since the airport was shut. They did issue numbers so that we could keep up with the re-arrangements and get advice. They did what they could to have people available to organise things like keeping the car longer without extra charge.

Check the same holidays on xl.com as it is often cheaper, but is identical..

I went to Majorce, with XL, and the reps, transfers etc were all travelcitydirect. But the price was much cheaper than if i had booked through travelcity.

In the last few weeks there have been bad delays to/from Florida, around 24 hours ! this also leads to knock on affects on other flights in Europe.

Looking at the reviews - seems to be very hit and miss as to whether you get a good or bad experience, and they sub lease other aircraft from other operators.

Going to Florida in a fortnight with TCD, upto now, they've been fine. Very helpful regarding the flight, my son has a nut allergy, they arranged meals etc, and rang me back to confirm everything.Also informed us about taking his Epipens thro customs etc.

Now......only the flight. holiday to experience with them.

went to florida with travel city direct and cant recommend them enough!! No problems and a fantastic holiday - loads cheaper than anywhere else! Definately recommend them :T

Their website is a nightmare.

I saw an ad in a newspaper for them one Sunday and went online to try to cost a holiday to Florida with them.
I found it impossible to get a quote because I did not want their hire car.

Their website is truly awful. And yes you have to book car hire with them for the website. Give them a call their sales team are very friendly, and you dont have to have car hire over the phone.

We have used XL (which the airline you go on with Travelcity to the Caribbean) to fly to Barbados, and although it was just an OK flight (cramped, not very good food, minor delays) you get what you pay for, and after all it is the Caribbean you pay to go to and the flight is just the means of getting there.
The money you save in using them instead of say Virgin or BA could help pay for your accommodation.
