I am a basic rate tax payer, my wife pays no tax.
I no longer have to do a tax return due to my circumstances not having changed etc.
If my wife takes out Pensioner bonds how does she claim back tax?
Do I have to fill out the "complete" R40 or R85 form to claim back the tax?? and then start doing annual returns again ?
Thanks

if they are her Bonds why would you be involved in filling in forms to reclaim tax?The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0

Complete the above. Where the sections are not relevant to your wife, she leaves them blank just as you would have done when you were completing your own tax return.0
