Lost my £5

I had 2 DDs that last came out of my Reward account on the 23rd of Jan that I changed to my Santander account to get the cashback for, which came out on the 23rd of Feb.
I also changed, at the same time, 2 DDs to pay my credit cards to my Reward account which were not taken until today they should have been taken on 28th Feb but were not taken until 2nd March.
Therefor even although I paid in £1000 to my Reward account I never got my £5 because of the late DDs.
At least I got £3.63 for my DDs from Santander.

Check your account again. I had my 2nd DD payment come out late, and didn't see my reward yesterday, so I assumed I'd lost out. However it now shows as reward paid.0

£750 never credited in February so no fiver either0

Personally, I have lost the odd fiver to... really annoying so I now have three active DDs on each of my reward accounts and have setup in/out standing orders to my Santander 123 [used as a savings account] in the middle of the month.
Have also done similar [SOs] for all my high interest current e.g. TSB & NW accounts so I don't forget and miss out.
Cheers0 -
I got stung by this a few months ago.
Best way to avoid it is to have your direct debits to come out during the middle of the month so you can be sure you never miss any.
Alternatively, open the internet saver and instant access saver accounts through tesco bank and setup direct debits at £1 each and set these to come out during the middle of the month to meet the requirements. Tesco savings accounts are funded by direct debits from your other accounts.0 -
Yeah got stung because Tesco were so slow setting it up to our joint reward account. Won't miss it now though.0
