Outdoor Pizza Oven

I want to build (or rather, have built) an outdoor BBQ and pizza oven.
Would anyone know if there are standard blueprints on-line for such a thing or would I have to have plans drawn up?
Or can I just tell my builder/brickie what I want and let him get on with it?
Thanks.

I so want one of these, although I think I'd just treat myself to a tip to Italy to buy one

You could just build it yourself.
I built a brick barbecue last year, and it wasn't very hard to do. Very basic bricklaying skills are all that's really needed (I started with none!) and there are plenty of guides online which will give you inspiration and tips.
Total cost to me (I had to buy the hardware for it and the mortar, but had 3 dozen bricks left over from another job) was about £25. I also don't have to store it away each year, and it won't rust into an unusable mess in 3 years time. You also get a certain satisfaction every time you use it, knowing that you actually made the cooking possible with your DIY!
Next door wants to build an outdoor pizza oven and now intends to do so after seeing how easy it was to build the barbecue.0 -
Thanks for all comments - I built my own barbie in my old house and agree that it was relatovely straightforward to do.
I just know that a full pizza oven would be too much for my capabilities.
And thanks for the top link. I had googled (honest) but hadn't see that one. It seems pretty comprehesive.0 -

I'm going to attempt this in a few weeks time.
Might not be super authentic but look simple enough as a DIY project0
