cant see anything with Specky Four Eyes

Placed order for spectacles with Specky Four Eyes (MSE discount applied), on 7th Feb. Money taken from account same day. The Specky Four Eyes site says "the longest time up to 10 days for the Lab to manufacture lenses and 3 to 5 working days for delivery."
Today 3rd March - still nothing ! After waiting the prescribed FULL time for Lab glazing and delivery I have nothing. Since then I have had over 15 email communications with the firm where they have misunderstood any questions I have raised and ignored delivery information on the item requested despite attatching the correct order number. I have requested over 6 call backs to discuss the problem but not received any. The service from this company is very poor and I would be interested to hear how other forumites had fared. Also get tips on how to actually get the product I have paid for.

I'm getting worried too. And I've never brought glasses online before so I'm using this as a test.
They have until the 14th March to have my order delivered (or I guess Monday 16th to allow for delivery). My glasses have been in the lab since the 24th February!
I logged back in to my account recently to check what's going on so know I am getting daily emails trying to encourage me to buy more. I don't think so.
I'll see on Monday what happens. If not I'm going to have to start contacting. I was hoping a company MSE was promoting would be at least be reliable.0 -
Ordered and paid 15th Feb; in lab since 24th Feb. Emails bounce back as undeliverable and no response to the web query form.
I'll be going back to Glasses Direct in the future!0 -
OP, why not speak to your card issuer about a chargeback... goods/service not supplied.
Might be an idea to have a read of MSE's Chargeback article first.0 -
I got a "order shipped" email today. Hopefully they come no problem and are actually to the right prescription.
I don't mean to be quick to judge but, like I said, I've never used online glasses (and my mum warned me against based on experience, I'd hate to have the "told you so")0 -
I ordered some prescription sunglasses from Specky Four Eyes on 18 March. Emailed them a couple of weeks ago and they said it would be shipped mid this week. They haven't turned up and I ordered them for a holiday next week.
Their 'call back' service via the website is unavailable, no one answers the phone and their voicemail box is full. There are complaints on facebook and twitter but no explanation. No one is responding to emails now.
I used them a year ago with no issues, so sounds like something's up. Not a company MSE should be including in the online glasses promotions.
I'll look into the chargeback scheme if they don't turn up soon.0 -
So I'm wondering if this company is really generally slow, or do they slow down more when there's an offer?
I ordered my glasses on 23 May 15 (using voucher code that went out on the MSE weekly email a few days before) and only today 17 June 15 I have just got an email to say they're being dispatched. So given it will probably take a few days to arrive, it will be close to a month from order to receipt!Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -
I ordered on 14th June, had no communication. Their Facebook page appears to not have been updated a while.
