Beware, beware!
The "Experian" Free one month trial for a credit report is a once in a LIFETIME offer: you can never do it twice.
If you apply on their "free trial" site again they charge you - currently £14.99 a month - immediately!
No free trial, no free report, it's all hooey! Even if you have not had any contact with them for years!

From their homepage;
A monthly fee of £14.99 applies after your free trial. You may cancel during your 30 day free trial without charge. New customers only.
Pay £2 for your reports from all CRA's if you need it prior to a mortgage application etc. and sign up for Noddle for free if you simply what to keep a tab on things. Capital one also offer free credit reports with some of their credit cards too.0 -
You can get your statutory report for £2 on demand from them, paying £15 is unnecessary
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I actually tried to get a free trial the other day, forgetting I had already done so last year. They warned me that I already had an account and didn't charge me / I didn't log in or continue.0

And you are angry about this because you can't have a second free trial?
These companies are out to make money out of you, there is no reason at all why they would give you a second free trial is there?
Just pay the £2 and get your statutory report.0
