Balance transfer from another card

Hi everyone

I need advice on this procedure that i'd like to execute.

I use amex, master cards cc that give avios points regularly but I pay it off each month.
This time i'd like to use it to buy some holiday tickets(so I can still get avios points) and then use another cc to pay off my amex cc.
I want to do this without paying any interest or fee but I didn't find anything on this site.
However moneysupermarket has shown a balance transfer with 0% for 15 months and no fee.
can someone tell me if I could use that cc to pay off my amex cc and then do minumum repayments on it for 15 months?

Thank you

    I don't see why not.

Is there anything in the terms and conditions to say that you can't?

I just needed some advice as to whether they are allowing this or not. It looks to me as they do but just wanted to make sure whether there was a catch; considering that on MSE all of the balance transfer cc, I was surprised to find one that doesn't.

I have been on that link already lol
As i stated in my previous comment, in that link all the cards have a fee, so when I started searching on other websites, I found santander with 0% and NO fee, which sort of surprised me.
This is the reason why I created this topic to see whether there was some sort of catch to this.
However, like you said earlier, it looks like there's no catch and it should be possible to do what I want to with no problem.

just saw the article has santander but at the bottom of the page, not a top pick

I was wondering why I cant get hold of another % purchases credit card. I have 3 maxed out at moment all paying minimum payments and not due to be cleared till aug/sept/nov time. Every time I apply ( through sites that don't leave a mark) I get 0% chance or very low chance. I am using nat west at moment and paying up each month but it only gives minimal benefits. I don't default but it seems they think im a bad bet?? I see that some people on here have as many as 11 cards on 0 % deals how come I cant get any more. Household income is well above the minimum they require when I apply. Any help appreciated.

Look again, you missed it. 3rd one down bullet list of best buys?

The 123 card beats it, if you qualify, but it has an annual fee.

My bad, just didn't look carefully.

One question, as I said earlier, I want to use amex to buy off something so I can get points etc and then use santander balance transfer to pay off the amex cc. The question is that if I use the amex cc for a purchase and a couple of days after pay it off using balance transfer from another card, will I still get the points or cashback ? or this only happens when you use direct debit?

you will still get the points - it doesn't matter how you settle the account
