made a mistake on booking & need to get an extra room

I'm going on holiday in june with first choice. I am dozy... I booked a twin room. I though as i was booking for me, hubby & 2 kids that meant 2 rooms. Having just checked with them, I realise it is one room with 3 beds and a cot.
Anyway, my fault!!! But I want to up grade my room (well basically have a seperate room for kids) . It costs a small fortune through the travel company..... an extra £260 each!!!!
I have looked up hotel website, but it's all in Spanish.
Any ideas of how I can do this?
Thanks. A dozy mum!

telephone the hotel - its a good bet they speak English, alternatively book the room via a hotel website like:
http://www.hotelscomparison.com/
http://www.alpha-beds.com/?r=o_alphaalpha_bed
or one of the many other hotel booking engines found on this site!0 -
Your problem might be getting a room next door to your one if booking independently.By all means book it,but you must phone the hotel direct to link up the 2 reservations. They may not get guest list until week before arrival so you will have to phone again before you fly to check up.
I assume ,with it being "First Choice" then it was done thru a travel Agent. Surely they should have explained all this to you at booking stage. If not then surely they are partly responsible and you could go down the road of trying to cancel without penalty0
