Neither loratadine or ceterizine work for me so I get neoclarityn, otherwise known as desloratadine. A bit stronger, but prescription only.

Last time my doc prescribed 60 I think, but then again I'm a poor student and have to take it every day!
Please note Neoclarityn (desloratidine) is different to loratidine (Clarityn), as Neoclarityn is Prescription Only and only available via GP.

blimey....I've got a cupboard full of Tesco 99p hayfever tablets (10 boxes), I really really suffer and will be starting to take them in the next few days , but, the chemist-4-u ones are really cheap - I will be buying some of those, as the Tesco ones don't seem strong enough by the time Iget to July and I end up buying Clarityn and Benadryl for a few weeks.

Will definitely be getting some !!!

Wilkinsons do the branded ones slightly cheaper...

I use the Tesco 99p ones mainly, and get away with the branded only on the worst week or 2 :)

I might be mistaken but I thought the active ingredient was exactly the same in the generic version as the branded version.

Neo-clarityn (as pointed out prescription only) is I understand twice as effective as clarityn though it doesn't work for me.

I have started taking my generic clarityn already as I was getting a bit snotty:eek: but next month will start with my nasal spray too which should help to control things.

I went to my local Wilko's today looking for these, but found an even better bargain......... Galpharm Hayfever and Allergy relief Blue box (cetirizine) and another type in a green box (7 tabs in a box)
    £1.49 each or.....2 for £1.00
Needless to say I bought 12 packs for £6.00 a good few months supply!
Got wierd look from cashier :D

The loratidine from http://www.chemist-4-u.com are £1.99 for 30 INCLUDING delivery. I just ordered 5 boxes, they are £4.99 for the generic version in my local chemist which is normally quite good price wise for medicines.

Boots used to do tubs of 500 Piriton for under £10. Anyone know if they still do - only small packs on their website.

(I know these are not one-a-day, but still a good price.)
