securing door bars

Hi
I have 4 multifloor door bars to fit.
2 lead from laminate to vinyl and 2 lead from carpet to vinyl.
I have the bars and they advise they can be put in place with adhesive tape, which would be my preference particularly as 2 are into concrete flooring.
Anyone any experience of which tape to use and how best to put in situ to make sure they stay in place.
