Very old PPI

Can anyone advise me please?
in 1999 I took out PPI with Cheltenham & Gloucester on a £58,99 interest only mortgage.
I was told by the broker that I would not get the loan unless I took out PPI as I was in a new job.
The monthly premium was £29.45 per month.
I had to claim on the policy as I became ill and unable to work.
I am able to claim anything back/is it worth trying?
Many thanks.

What evidence do you have to back up that allegation?I am able to claim anything back/is it worth trying?
you can complain to the broker but the policy seems to be set up correctly (monthly premium) and nothing you have said suggests any mis-sale apart from your allegation and its unlikely any evidence exists to support that.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). In view of the fact that you made a successful claim on the policy which possibly saved your house, shouldn't you be thanking the broker for advising you to take out MPPI rether than complaining about the sale of a product that you clearly needed?0
