Letting out Leasehold flat
Tryingtomoveout
Hi
I asked my question on another thread but now I have consulted my lease...
So, I am about to purchase a leasehold flat, and want to potentially rent it out in the future.
The lease document says...
**** Use
Not to use the Flat for anything other than as a private residence for occupation by a single household
By 'private residence' I'm assuming that means only I can occupy it, and that I cannot rent it out?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Go back to your last thread.

If there is nothing in the lease that says you can't then you can!
It suggests you cant run a buisness and you cannot have a property of occupation.
That's all I can tell from what you have quoted!0 -
Thanks ognum, so private can refer to any kind of private household.. I can't see anything else in the lease that restricts this but I have contacted my conveyancer to check.
Thanks for your help0 -
You can't rent it out to more than one person if they don't form part of a single household e.g. if they are 2 unrelated people / not in a relationship.0
