Hello There

Has anyone ever used the above road assistance which comes
free when you get a service with Ford.
If so were you happy with them?

I'm also with the AA for Roadside, Home Start, and Relay and now thinking of cancelling AA as it's coming up to my renewal date.
Many Thanks

My mum has for the last few years and she's had no problems. She had to call them out when two tyres burst and the AA turned up and sorted it out. I think she said that Ford have a deal with the AA. She doesn't pay for any other roadside assistance.

Yeah for flat battery outside my house . Fine no issues
  • Serviced my Ford Kuga in March and had a problem yesterday (June) so contacted Ford Assistance. They had no record of me. Then said that it had expired.

Gave them all the details. Told them I had a certificate to say that I had cover. Apparently it was no good to them as I was not on their system. They said that they would not come out unless I joined the AA there and then but they would also charge for towing me. Told me to contact the dealer.

Dealer said I was covered and that all the details had been sent.

Ford Assistance said that they haven't got any details for me and even if the dealership did send the details it would be 2 weeks before I was covered.

So the promise of beiong covered rings rather hollow.

It could have been worse: I could have been on a motorway hundreds of miles from home at midnight.

Ford Assistance = No help or assistance what so ever.

  • found out yesterday the Kuga I have is no longer covered by Ford assistance 12 after service in Jan.2017 as Bristol street motors have stopped the "free breakdown/recovery.It was provided by the dealership and was a director decision to stop this ....no information sent to customers!!!....Iawait word from Ford uk as it states on my sevice invoice that I have it....awaiting numerous PR calls for this service which would cost dealership "buttons".....

I have used it....its the full whack of AA specification...it also have courtesy car as well but its best to mention that you want it whilst the patrol person is there..I got caught out when Ford cancelled the Assistance 12 ..one year and of course I had to have a breakdown in that year! ..gave them a earful..did the usual complain but of course was ignored..but the next year..it was on again..
    smile everyday...cos its free :)
