Applying on line problems - web issues driving me mad!!

Hi everyone
I'm new here, but have been reading posts for a few weeks.
Has anyone else had problems with either Lloyds or TSB's on-line application process.
I tried to open a Lloyds account on Friday, and the website jammed on the 'pick-a-branch' page. I rang them and they said they were having issues.
Today i tried to apply for TSB, and i thought hey this application lay-out is identical to Lloyds (even though they have separated), and guess what....yep, it stopped at the same point.
Neither Lloyds or TSB can give me an answer as to why this is happening, and it's not all customers, just 100 or so (!!!).
So 2 things....do you think these 2 'abandoned' applications will still show on my credit score, and has anyone else experienced these problems.
Seems like they don't want my money!!
Cheers in advance.

Try using a different browser, or a different PC.
Turn off your pop-up blocker?0 -
Applying online for a Lloyds or TSB account is indeed a nightmare, I had loads of problems and failed attempts, the website is dreadful.
Vortigern's advice is sound. When I eventually got my applications all the way through (after days of trying) there was no sign of the earlier, failed attempts.Je suis Charlie.0 -
I have noticed that the Lloyds website struggles on some browsers - google chrome in particular.
And the TSB site is temperamental - I made an application on there recently and the application crashed and it defaulted back to the Lloyds website. Odd since its no longer supposed to be part of the Lloyds group.:D
Maybe its me - but it just doesn't feel secure.0 -
Thanks Everyone.
Yes is it Google Chrome that i use. I do have Internet Explorer too, so might try that this afternoon. Will try and make sure any pop-up blocker is turned off too, although not 100% sure how to do that....have to have a fiddle.
I'll let you know how i get on....fingers crossed!!How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -

Hi Sea Shell
While our site is designed to be fully-functional with all common internet browsers, if you're continually encountering the same issue, I'd advise (as others have suggested) attempting the application via an alternative browser or device.
As the applications have never been completed, there should be no record of the previous attempts, either with the bank or on your credit file.
Thanks,
