Double door and rad removed

Hi all,
A bit of advice on some work that could come around.
A bit of a backstory.
We saw a great house for sale, we initially we turned it down due to the naff kitchen and separate dining space (we always preferred kitchen / dining as LO can be at the table when dinner is made etc.)
Being as it is the very top of our budget and that we couldn't be sure that is would be possible to knock through, it was passed over.
Just by chance I spotted the exact same house design for sale for 30k more, the main difference is that they have knocked through and made a kitchen diner.
Rather than go all the way (and risk loosing out if we ever sell) I thought about putting a double door and removing the small radiator that is currently on the wall.
Having never done this I wondered:
-How much would this cost roughly, outside of London (minus door price)?
-The dining room has wooden floors, could this be salvaged?
-Would the prospect of having this double door be the best of both worlds for buyers I think it is?
