ParkingEye and Hotel Campanile

Last week I stayed a night at the Campanile Hotel in Milton Keynes. I arrived at 12.27:16 and checked in, completing the process at 12.35. I went to the room with my wife and my luggage, sorted a few things out and then we returned to the car and departed the car park at 13.03:34 to discover the joys of Milton Keynes.
I know the times precisely, because last Friday I received a "Parking Charge Notice" from ParkingEye for the above parking!
This is just outrageous. Unfortunately in my rage I sent the so-called "appeal" before reading this forum, which I now know to be the wrong thing to do. However, I have now contacted the Campanile Hotel and asked for the name of the director responsible for dealing with these shysters.
I am a pensioner and I have High B.P. I am inclined to try to gain some compensation for trauma or something to the value of the £100 this PCN is asking.
What should be my absolutely best next move?
Regards

I can thoroughly recommend the Mercure Parkside when staying in Milton Keynes. It's in a beautiful location, so much so that it's hard to believe you are in Milton Keynes. And it has no parking company infestation!
Prices vary considerably according to demand, but it's often pretty good value.Je suis Charlie.0
