Over Charged on my credit card

Placed a order with abercrombie.com recently over telephone for $893. When i got my Credit Card statement they had charged me $1754. Phoned abercrombie up and i'm getting no joy. They are saying its because i`m in the UK and used a UK credit card to pay for goods in the USA!
What rights do i have with regards to using your credit card over the telephone?
Can i dispute the payment with my Credit card company?
I'm pulling my hair out with this,:mad:
