Saving for retirement

As both of us here at Digger Mansions are in line for LGPS final salary pensions, debt free and with savings, it is not jealousy I feel. You and us are both in near identical positions, no grounds for me being jealous of someone in similar circumstances. Being more than happy with our retirement plans is the reason for my post, not some shallow emotion, which I agree is a rather ugly one.
But we are a few years further down the line.

@atush you raise the value of our gold as often as you ignore the answer. Our average costs, including storage, are under £650 per ounce.......
Given the time frame that iwblue has given then it is entirely appropriate to consider gold for retirement funds.
