wedding certificate translation

Hi all,

I got married 18months ago in the dominican I have never changed my passport largely because I haven't had my certificate translated yet.
But now have a second son and he requires a passport so I need to change my own to my married name. I am therefore looking for a spanish to english translation it of course needs to be official but I would also like it as cheap as possible anyone know of anywhere that can do it cheaply and quickly.

TIA

presumably you'd need an approved translator. I'd get in contact with the passport office and see what exactly they need and what form they need it in.

    Hi
At work (legal profession) I use these people to translate marriage certificates and other documents. They are really quick and reasonably priced. http://www.buyersguide.co.uk/profiles/w/word_by_word/index.htm

You don't need to change to your married name for your son to get a passport.

Try contacting the institute of linguists. THey should have a list you can use.

It may also be worth,at a later date, speaking to your local registrar about getting your wedding certificate lodged in this country. If anything everhappened to it,it could be a problem getting a replacement.
