Broken door hinge
Options
The wind caught my car door this morning and the hinge has snapped, it's opening and closing ok at the moment, has anyone any idea what I'm looking at for repair?

Where is it snapped? Opens and closes OK? Are you sure its the hinge that snapped and not just the door restraining strap?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

As per the previous post, could be just a restraining strap. But whether it's the strap or the hinge, assuming nothing else is damaged, and the frame / door pillar has not been bent, then a couple of quid for a replacement from a scrappie and 15 mins to fit it yourself.0

I've had an Alfa 147 in the past and their door check straps were notoriously weak. Cost around £35 for a new one. Two bolts on the door frame. The other two bolts were inside the door. Had to take the door trim panel off and got to the bolts from there. I'd assume most cars are similar.0
