What type of semi is this?

Is this what they call a traditional semi detatched? eg because of the sloping roof over the garage?

That's a semi-detached house with an attached garage. I don't know what else there is to say about it.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

I don't think "traditional semi" means anything specific, it's Estate Agent for "It's a normal semi with nothing unusual about it" as opposed to "An unusual semi with unique features" which is Estate Agent for "This one's weird".

True (Traditional?) semi = 1 of 2 houses joined together
Quasi-semi = either end of a bank of 4 houses
Terraced semi = either end of a longer bank of houses

anything else is likely to be about the style / age of the property..

    I agree.

    Why do you ask OP?

he sloping roof over the garage has nothing to do with it. If it is joined to the house next door it is "semi-detached" that is to say "half detached" in other words, only detached on one side. A "detached" house stands on its own and you can, in most cases, walk all the way around it without bumping in to someone else's house. With a semi-detached house you can't.

There is no such thing as a detached flat!

and "linked" semis - where the bottom half of the houses aren't attached to each other, but the top is in some way. Usually so that a car can pass through the "arch" into a communal parking area - but I have known some that span a footpath (quite a well used one) and it was a bit weird - both for the people in the bedroom and for the people walking underneath!

Just that I like that style of house, (with a view to purchase that style) naturally there are various styles of semi's about, it only clicked the other day that it's the sloping roof feature, I know some people extend over the garage.
