Hi, I am currently with Scottish power on a fixed online rate due to finish on 31st March 2015, after this date I will be moved to the standard rate. After checking on various comparison sites Scottish Power 1 year fixed deal comes out cheapest.

Am I able to make the move from one Scottish power product to another and receive cashback via comparison site ?????

No...... why would they pay you to charge tariff ?

You will have to switch suppliers then switch back to get any cashback

ok, why would the tariffs still come up offering cashback if its for the same company?

Even on the money saving expert Energy club the option is there to switch and receive cashback even though they know what tariff/company i'm with.

Might just give it a go, nothing to lose if it doesn't happen, still getting the cheapest deal.

No money back. just change on line by Change my tariff to stay with SP.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)

Cashback sites get their commission from third party marketing/affiliate networks that have no direct link to the supplier.

They specifically exclude in house changes.

They specifically check that any transactions are legitimate and keep to the terms and conditions.

When the cashback site gets their commission you get part of it as cashback.

By trying for an illegitimate cashback all you will probably do is cause confusion which could mess up your existing account.

You could get double cashback by switching to another supplier and then switch back to your preferred supplier.
