Damp and mould on window seat

The property I'm in has a window seat type wide ledge in the bedroom. It's been painted with matt emulsion but there is a damp patch and black mould tends to grow on the outside corners. I used a bleach based mould cleaner to remove it but it comes back.
I do ventilate the room and have one of those Kilrock moisture collecting pots in the room. The radiator is other side of the room, and it does seem to feel cold.
I'd like to paint the window seat and wondered if anyone has any good suggestions for anti-mould paint or treatments that might help? Would a kitchen and bathroom product be sufficient? I like the Crown breatheasy paints as they have virtually no odour, but wasn't sure if I might need something more industrious.
Any suggestions most welcome, thank you

Is the window seat ventilated? It sounds like it might need to be.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Thanks ... how would I ventilate the window seat, is this something that would be expensive?
Anyone have suggestions with paint too?
Many thanks.0 -

Much better to get to the source of the damp than to treat the symptoms. I suspect that any anti-mould paint would be more a marketing con than a proper product. Marine paint for boat use might do what you want. I doubt it would be effective though, long term.
The easiest way to ventilate the seat would be to drill a few holes in it in a discrete place.0 -
Which mould cleaner did you use?
On my site I recommend HG mould Spray as I have used it personally and found that it keeps mould away much better than the other mould sprays.0
