She's soooo cute! Our 7 month old kitten still loves the game Running Around The House and sometimes her 2 and a half year old mum joins in!!0

The "best" game my cats ever invented was to claw a hole in the lining under my divan bed. That meant they could run around inside it. Being woken at 3am with squeaks and thumps wasn't my idea of fun!Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

She's such a beautiful girl - and the absolutely spit of my second kitten I had in January 1979 (OMG! Where has the time gone?)
She was besotted with me and would want to be with me whatever I was doing.
I used to cook with her sat on my shoulder like a parrot when she was a kitten and then draped around my neck when she got bigger.
When I watched TV she used to sit on my chest with her nose about an inch away from mine and gaze into my eyes.
I'm suffering from severe cat withdrawal, my last old boy died 3 years ago and I'm cat-less so seeing pics posted is lovely.0 -
Kittens shouldn't leave mum until at least 13 weeks, many still suckle at 10 weeks, mum also tends to teach very important social skills from 10 weeks such as no biting/scratching and kittens who miss this phase are likely to show this behaviour and less likely to respons to your tone of voice when being naughty.
Get kitten insured witb petpal asap, get a lifetime policy not a waste of time £3 one which would barely cover an illness/accident.
When she is more settled you can look at her diet, for example remove dry food and any grains and focus on a high protein grain free wet food. Be careful about transition though as kittens digestive system can be very delicate.
Get your kitten used to being examined, put her on a table and inspect per paws, ears, teeth, legs and abdomen, it makes it easier for giving tablets etc in the future. Until she is old enough to go out on her first birthday you could trim her claws, but it is better to get her scratch post trained.0 -

Interesting you saying about your cat being on your shoulder - my previous cat used to like doing that. Being up there wasn't the problem - it was jumping up my back to get there - arrrrgggh those claws on my back!
A 'game' not yet mentioned involves newspapers. Try reading a 'paper on the floor, my previous cat would sit on it, move it - would result in her scratching at in. Arrange it then with a couple underneath with couple on top in the form of a vee makes a cave - cat wobbles her back end and then dives in!! Great fun.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
Not sure if this game has been mentioned:
My old boy used to love the cardboard tubes from wrapping paper.
He would crouch at one end of it with me at the other and I'd flick a ping-pong ball down it.
He'd pretend he wasn't interested until the very last minute and then shoot his paw - right up to his armpit into the tube and shove it back to me.
We also used to play goalie up the stairs with a ping-pong ball, I'd throw it against the wall and he'd 'save' it as it came back down.
I really miss the little !!!!!!.0 -

Funny you should say that, she likes a similar game with the cardboard tube from kitchen roll. We put her mouse toy at one end and she tries to get her paw down the tube. She has also started to climb up my leg when I am washing up so maybe that is a sign of things to come. She miaows for attention a lot of the time. Its not for food as often I have filled her bowl. She likes baby cuddles (my name for it) at bedtime when I stroke her and she purrs and falls asleep but as soon as I stop she wakes up again. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
