How can I check if I had PPI

I had a number of loans over many years for car purchase I cannot remember who loans where with as we are going back years. Sometimes they were with the Dealership. I have also swopped cards a lot so cannot remember where and when. That is why I am considering a CMC one of my colleagues used one and got quite a bit back. I do not even know whether I am due any so to make it easier on myself am thinking of contacting a claims company. As I don't think I will get anything back as it is too difficult for me to get involved in and thought using a claims company is better than receiving nothing.

The loans would not have been with the car dealership, car dealers would arrange loans for you with a variety of lenders, a lot of the manufacturers however do have their own finance houses such as Ford Credit etc.
In any event you need to complain to the dealer who sold you the PPI and if its pre regulation (before early 2005) they do not have to look at your complaint.
Not sure why you think a CMC will have more idea than you where you bought cars from in the past and who financed them.
Just having PPI does not mean you are due your money back there has to be a genuine reason why you were missold.0
