More Chinese pressure on UK house prices

This thread is so close to being only based on racism that I'm surprised it hasn't been locked yet.Welcome to the World of Finance, where the highest bidder buys the plot.
It's not finance, it's just the free market and how all of us (including you) behave in their self-interest.0 -

Apparently, if you start complaining about all the Roumanians coming over here and taking all our jobs or whatever, you are a racist, and just one step away from advocating the reintroduction of extermination camps. But apparently it's perfectly all right to moan about the Chinese coming over here and taking all our homes, because...umm, err,.... I'm sure there must be a reason.0 -

Of course its a free market, the highest paying buyer makes the purchase and deals with the item. The Seller is left satisfied that they have sold at as high as was possible, in order to make the best deal. Thats the way it goes in the World, regardless of my self interests or behaviour.
I see nothing wrong with a multi cultural and free market. I cannot see how that is being racist in anyway, quite the opposite.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Slander is also against the rules of this forum, so don't throw accusations of racism my way thanks. My historical posts prove I'm far from racist, so please give up trying to shut down a thread that brings attention to a fact that you are all uncomfortable with.
Our homes should not be on the global free commodity market. How can making our own citizens compete with wealthy people from around the world be good?
What good can become of it? It has already helped inflate our homes to the point where those living here (mainly the younger people) have been adversely affected.
If people from around the world want to buy a residential property here, they can, as long as they come and live here, work, pay tax on earnings, and purchaes etc and contribute to our economy in a constructive way.
Its such as shame that rather than enter into a discussion, you all chose to throw insults and nic pick minor details, pathetic.Peace.0 -
No-one is racist these days, anyway.
A few recent gems in the media:"The only people I do have problems with are negr*es."
But she has insisted she is not racist and does not regret what she said."I'm not a racist and I never have been a racist,"
"He was pushed off simply because the carriage was full, no other reason - it had nothing to do with the colour of his skin."TickersPlaysPop wrote: »don't throw accusations of racism my way thanks.
Did you feel targeted, then?TickersPlaysPop wrote: »and contribute to our economy in a constructive way.
Well, I would think that injecting hundreds of thousands of pounds into our economy without even setting foot here it quite constructive.
If they were moving here the anti-immigration brigade would be up in arms.0 -

It was some time ago and before we were so PC, but I remember a rather funny 'racist' incident that someone told me about. He was a Middlesbrough fan who went to an away match at QPR. Apparently they started singing 'we all hate the Geordies, la la la,' and the Boro fans joined in (much to the confusion of the QPR fans).Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

Is this a joke? Please forgive me if I didn't find it funny, and for taking this as your real position on this topic.
For a start the anti immigration brigade take issue with immigrants that supposedly burden a net drain on our economy, such as public services. UKIP would love to welcome net contributors such as those buying expensive residential properties in London, and their policy is to use a point system such as Australia.
Also, the money pouring into the country benefits who?... I do not see any benefit for the less fortunate in our country. It certainly benefits you as a landlord becasue it increases the capital value of your property portfolio .... as the cost of homes keeps inflating away from people reach.Peace.0 -
