Not annoying at all, moneyonmymindsam:rotfl:. Congratulations!
It's people who manage to hit target early that motivate me even more to pull out all the stops as the month draws to a close when I haven't had too much success.
Have had a very busy few weeks and haven't had much scope for making much extra (apart from 2 weeks casual work which will bring in a reasonable amount but goodness knows when payment will reach my bank account):(. Not declaring it until it does.
Managed to do a table-top sale on Saturday morning and was amazed that it was as successful as it was (maybe the cold biting wind and drizzle brought all the buyers inside:j) but I cleared £47 so can add that to this month's total
Received 2 x £5 Love2Shop vouchers from surveys and £4 in Paypal from Pinecone.
Total to add since last update: £61.
Total for month still well short of target (£166.55/£310):o
Good Luck to everyone for the last week of the month:beer:.0 -

Congratulations on such a fabulous win, Upsy:T. That's a lovely prize.
I'm a keen comper myself but never win real 'money':(. It's usually a case of prizes which I need to sell first before I can see any financial benefit. I don't tend to enter comps if the prizes don't interest me or are not relevant (such as holidays which we can't take and which are not usually transfereable/saleable). But I often win runner-up prizes which are not what I entered for and which often are not relevant to us, in which case I sell them and either use the money raised to treat myself or, more likely, to throw at my debts:o0 -

Thanks both
Carbootcrazy I've been comping since December and hadn't won anything until this month so was thinking about giving up - glad I didn't now. I was so surprised to win money. I hope you win some money soon too.Thank you to everyone who posts on here0 -

one thing about comping, people expect to win regularly and when they see names popping up regularly as winners, they think, well if they can win, so can I.
But it's not as simple as that, some people only enter effort comps which fewer people do, so more likely to win. Some people are just very lucky and win frequently, I know someone like that. entered the same comp as her, as a group we worked out the answers and she won one of the 10 prizes and I didn't. But that is the way of comping.
I have been reading more and more people saying they are giving up comping even though only been doing it for a few weeks as they haven't won yet.
First of all, there are a lot more compers than there used to be, a lot of people use mse, just check the view on the comping boards. You are all entering the same types of comps, chances are one of them will win and you won't. I recommend looking for local comps, smaller comps with less take up, blogger comps, etc.
And don't get disheartened just because you haven't won, take it as a hobby not a way of living.0
