Can I ask how you intend to make £180 a day from arbitrage betting? Sorry about the scepticism but I've signed up to just about every betting site going, done all the matched betting sign up offers etc. Finding arb's and then keep milking money from them is not easy, plus you get flagged up after so long by a said bookie and then subsequently get limited/banned from their site as I found out on Bet365. Be intrigued to hear your plan

Completely understandable. I'll drop you a PM :)
  • sounds like you can afford not to bother with bank accounts and interest. There's about 90k a year you will be pulling in each year for 10 years. 90% of the way there!

making returns of about 3x the average uk wage each year for a decade from gambling might prove a bit tricky, but im sure you have done your research, to know its acheivable?

Yes, I've definitely done that. And technically I'm not gambling as the bets are risk free! As I said, this isn't going to be an easy task but it gets me thinking!

Thanks. That was really useful :)
  • Hi everyone, hope you've had a great week and will have an even better weekend.

Spreadbetting - -£425 unrealised FTSE 100 and +£150 unrealised on Euro Stoxx. Read my blog for more info
    Tutoring (2 hours a week) - £60
Stocks and Shares ISA - £10 (unrealised)
Matched betting - £65 (didn't really do arbs this week)
    Work income - £250 (I save £1000 a month from my income)
    Cashback - £45 (unrealised)

    Total: £430

Pretty disappointing but you'll have those once in a while!

Currently through sports arbitrage, I'm aiming to earn about £180 a day for 7 days. If I do that over the course of the year, that's £65,280 (not taking into account reinvestment). On top of this I'd be saving £12,000 minimum a year. On top of this I spreadbet (I think it'll be a good year for euro stoxx, so I'm assuming a decent profit this year. Can't put a number on it though).

Also cashback through my job (expenses) is currently £40 a week. I'm on the current project for 12 months so that amounts to £1920 for the year.

As I said before, I haven't really been focussing on the target as I was busy for the previous week. So expect to see an improvement on the £700 or so.

Im really getting sick of people saying im doing this and that and never show any details how? Its like a few days ago someone says I can live on 50 pound a month and feed 2 dogs... as soon as I say show details. ..they disappear and not a word.

I really don't get why you're getting so ***** off. Whilst you have a point, if you're getting "sick and tired" of people saying this and that, why don't you just stop following. I've not once claimed to make anything extraordinary on here. Yes, I've said I can make 65k on sports arbitrage/sports trading but whether I do that or not is a different ball game entirely.

If you don't believe people then that's your problem. But I'm not posting screenshots of my accounts which, mind you, have my details on. On top of this, it takes ages to do! I wouldn't mind posting screenshots of my betfair account, don't think names appear on there.
  • I forgot to add, if you want to know how to make some extra dosh. Please feel to PM me, more than happy to share!

Read the post again. And look what it says. I've never once claimed to make that amount. My last bet was in fact yesterday. And sports arbitrage isn't betting per say. I just haven't had the time over the past two weeks - been working long hours! Exception rather than the norm. If I wanted to lie about things, I wouldn't have posted that -£425 unrealised loss on my spread betting account.

If you also go back a few pages, and tot up my profits for the month, you'll see it's nothing extra ordinary.

Could you do a more detailed statement then? As above /|\
