Someone's fishing for a bite here & it looks like he might have hooked quite a few lol

Complete throwaway statement / post in my opinion & if truly believed, then the sentiments could be used about almost any sport from "our wee country"

who is of the opinion that Carl Frampton is an embarrassment to NI?
Upheld as a "role model" by an ex terrorist politician in a sport, the sole aim of which is to beat each other about the head as hard as possible with the potential to cause life changing injuries.
Time Ni turned their back on this one.

I'd hazard to guess that he used to be a violent little thug (used?) who scrapped with anyone and subsequently (concurrently) got into boxing.

I think he was boxing from around 11-12, but even if what you say is true for some hypothetical character...

Thereby showing anyone in a similar situation that with hard work, dedication, listening to the right management and role models, you can be champion of the world.

I think anyone who draws our community together to support him, be it be in the name of sport or not, is deserving of being classed as a role model.

I know a little bit, thank you. Are you suggesting that Frampton compares with Liam Neeson? I'll be intrigued to see how that analogy holds up.

According to wikipedia Liam Neeson trained as a boxer in his schooldays and was good enough to win a local championship.

I hadn't seen a professional boxing match in more than 15 years, lost interest when it all went to SkumSky .
Enjoyed this immensely. Well done Frampton. Highly entertaining.
More quality pro boxing on terrestrial TV please.

Surely there is a world of a difference between a sport where you may get injured as a by product and a sport where the sole aim is to inflict physical injury on your opponent?
