Hello guys

I was awarded ESA (support group) in Aug 2013, up until now for some reason I thought I was awarded it for 3 years, but last week I get the renewal questionnaire and Im so worried, I called the social as I thought it was 3 years but she told me it was 2, she also stated that '99% of the time people who are in the support group and there illness hasnt changed or got worse will not be called for a medical and will be awarded it again' (I wasn't called for a medical the last time)

I havent slept since and im so worried, I havent even started the form. I suffer from GAD, chronic depression and BPD. i spoke to my GP who is very supportive and he is going to write up a letter to go with my questionnaire.

Im just wondering if what the lady from the social said is right because If im called for a medical, It will seriously affect my illness.

THANK YOU
MAX

If you mean you are due for reassessment don't worry about it unless you have been given an appointment date and time. Most reassessment has been stopped because they can't currently even keep up with new claims.

Sorry I had hit the post button before I typed the rest of my post.
  • having a supportive GP is a good thing are you also involved with the community mental health team? do you have CPN or a support worker?

Just complete and return the form they have sent you. The likelihood of being called in for reassessment is very low as I mentioned earlier. You will continue to be paid in the Support Group for the time being.

I had my last atos assessment back in November 2012 and was awarded support group for two years.

my medicals problems have got worse as i have severe upper left arm pain and problems with walking due to painful feet.

this has all be noted by my gp.

i am dreading geting the form in, when do you think this will be?
