Hi all,
I currently have an Experian credit score of 827 (Fair).
Im looking to open a Santander 123 Account. I don't want to apply if I'm going to get rejected. What do you think the chances of my application being accepted are?
Kind Regards
Roger

Hello Roger,
If there's no history of adverse data on your credit files (i.e. defaults, CCJs etc) then there's nothing to stop you from applying for a Santander 123 account.
One search every now and then won't cause you any problems (it's only making multiple applications irrespective of outcome that won't help).
However please ignore the score quoted to you by Experian as Santander won't take this into account when checking your credit files during the credit check. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
Hi Roger
As many people on here will tell you, the 'score' from experian, or any of the credit reference agencies, is in fact meaningless to any lender. They will 'score' you under their own criteria by assessing the content of your file not the number that you see that is made up.
Make sure you pay all of your credit commitments on time and you shouldn't have any problems.
Nobody can tell you whether Santander will accept you or not, none of us have access to your credit information. If you have no defaults, CCJ's or bankruptcy and no recent missed payments then you have a good chance of being accepted.
Good luck.
