Parcel Collection Service

Hi guys,
I am looking to bid for an item where they say "collection only". I asked the guy and he said it is OK to arrange for a courier collection. Do you know which service is best for these types of arrangements? The parcel will be roughly 22 - 25kg.
I was thinking of myhermes and checked parcel2go.... seems prices are pretty good for the weight.

It all depends on if he going to pack the item,if it's going to be packed then it can be picked up by most parcel delivery companys. There are a few companies out there that pock up and deliver larger ebay items,
Try googling ebay items delivered and see what comes up in the area the item is.Jane x0 -
I use interparcel every week and find them very reasonable.0

Yeah, items will be packed into a suitcase for delivery.0

If you book in Parcelforce through say Parcel Monkey, they bring the labels with them, so could cut down on any printer problems for the seller.0

Basically yes, assuming seller has packed it to the couriers specification and the weight and dimension agree with what was booked. Also of course you are relying on seller waiting in all day for it to be collected.
I have never understood why a seller will allow a buyer to send a courier- but I suppose it has worked in your favour this time, as long as the seller realises they still have to have parcel ready and packed as per requirements.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. With Parcelforce , you can also drop off at the post office, so this would save the seller waiting in all day for collection. You have to choose the drop-off option when booking it in though.0

It is probably more of a case as to whether the auction house will allow them to. I use several auction houses and all of them have strict criteria for collections, most only allow buyers to use the in house recommended courier who pack and collect but are horribly expensive. None of my auction houses will wrap or pack at all so will assist in loading furniture into a van (If there happens to be a porter free) but will make no assistance towards labelling or,protecting the item at all.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
