Credit Improve? After Default Expires?

Hi
A default on my husbands account will reach six years on 28th april this year, (and one year from being paid in full)
will it disapear from his file then
its the only thing thats wrong on his account

    The default and account will be removed then, yes. They will no longer be seen by any company checking his report.

    Can take a bit of extra time to go from Equifax, but it will go from there as well in a few days to a few weeks.

    Lenders appraise on a number of factors. Not just things that are "wrong". The manner in which an individual conducts themselves financially is dissected using analytical tools.

    by the time we get round to it, the only debt we have a credit card will be paid in full, no overdraft usage etc
