Whats your beauty routine/products and how mse are they?
I think mine are fairly mse but always open to new suggestions
Morning
Cleanse - Loreal 3 in 1 micellar solution (£5 but often on offer)
Moisturise - Doublebase (£10 for a huge tub that lasts over 6 months)
Olay multiradiance - £10 not cheap but I use it as it is SPF15 and it doubles up as a foundation for me.
Evening
Cleanse - body shop cleansing balm (given to me by a friend - once used I will make my own) I wipe off with a muslin cloth for exfoliation
Moisturise - Avocado oil (£3) or cheap version of bio oil (£1)
Once a week
Asprin face mask - I use 3 asprin, honey and yogurt (under 50p)
eucerin aquaphor balm (£9 but I only use once a week)
Hair
This is now costing me more
I have decided to try no silicones so I have to pay full price for products where previously I would just buy whatever was on offer at the time.
Make up
I tend to get most of it from poundland (branded products). If you look regularly you can pick up some good items. Or I use MUA.

Depends on how you look at it, I pay a bit more for effective products and not dumping stuff in the drawer that is useless, research and make up alley are my friends.
Every day
Cleanser, moisturiser (face and body) - Cetaphil, about £10 each I think but I always buy when on offer
Toner - Boots Rosewater, under £2
Make up, mainly MAC pro products, budget make up doesn't work for me but do like Maybelline foundation, Revlon lipgloss and some Loreal mascaras, yep big bucks here but I use and love all my products.
Weekly (2/3 times)
Spray tan, I use a pro solution applied at home, works out very cheap, about £25 every 8 months
Redken hair products, about £15 per products, I use 3 different ones, always bought on offer about twice a year, I wash my hair about once a week.
Barrielle nail varnish, nothing else comes close but I'm not big on nails, I buy this brand in TK Maxx when on offer, about £12 for box of 5
Apricot facial scrub every other day, about £3 for a tube that lasts motnhs
Every few months or so
New clip in extensions, I get my hair cut every 2/3 years so this isn't a big expense for me, £25 ish every 2 months
Botox - an absolute must, £250 every 4 months
Pro teeth clean, about £20 every 4 months
Eyebrow threading, I tint them myself about every 3 weeks, about £10 every 2 months if I can brace myself for the pain.
ETA - I use mitchum roll on deodorant, I wouldn't even bother with anything else, expensive but often on offer and lasts ages, also I highly rate Oral B 3d whitening toothpaste and Oral B electric toothbrush both have made a hige difference to my teeth and gums, not very MSE but both can be bought regularly on offer, another dental product which I wouldn't want to be without is 3% peroxide mouth wash, costs £1.09 for 200ml I think, this super cheap product helps my gums more than the super expensive specialist mouthwashes and keeps my teeth sparkling white.
I'll add it if I've forgotten anything, I don't think its too bad maybe not exactly MSE but could be worse, I think my lack of hair expense probably saves me haha.0 -
What does the aspirin face mask do?
I'd say my beauty routine is MSE, out of necessity really, and I like to keep things simple where I can.
For deodorant I use bicarbonate of soda (it's very effective!)
I make my own plain vegetable soap
I grind up azuki beans in the coffee grinder to make a face scrub which I just mix with water ( a bit like the one the Body Shop used to sell)
Moisturiser and sunscreen are good quality, usually La Roche Posay, but I always buy them on offer.
I don't use products on my hair, but I like a nice organic shampoo. It's not the cheapest but it lasts ages. The report button is for abusive posts, not because you don't like someone, or their opinions0 -

Totally agree with this. I used to have a draw full of products I purchased just because they were cheapI had that many it would have been cheaper to buy just a few good quality expensive products
I am trying to keep my products mse but do research them (google is my friend

Asprin contains saylic acid so is suppose to be a mse version of a home chemical peel. It is suppose to deep clean your pores, get rid of blackheads and good for acne. I don't suffer from acne but it does make my skin feel smoother (especially with using the balm afterwards) There are loads of you tube videos on it. If you do try it just be careful how many asprins you use, I have seen some videos recommending 8 or 9  too much asprin is harmful and some is likely to be absorbed through the skin, thats why I use three as this is the amount that is safe to take at once orally.
Make sure you wear a sunscreen on your face if doing this as it will make it more sensitive to the sun.0 -
Ouch! I don't think I will try that, as I have sensitive skin, but thankyou anywayThe report button is for abusive posts, not because you don't like someone, or their opinions0

I have mild roseaca and these so called bargain brands break me out like mad.
Boots forget it.
Marks and Spencer I can use some the neck cream is fabulous.
Otherwise its ebay for Elemis which goes a long way and I can use.0 -
Not very MSE for me
Cleanser, moisturiser and treatments - Elemis or Liz Earle.
Hair - L'oreal or Kerastase
Make Up - Bobbi Brown, Clarins, MAC, YSL
Perfume - Hermes, Tom Ford
Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.0 -
I am not sure my routine is MSE, but for me it's MSE if it is effective or works out cheaply on a cost per wear basis.
Skincare - I tend to use Avene, La Roche Posay, Vichy and/or Liz Earle as I have ezcema. All the really cheap skincare lines wreck my skin.
Cosmetics - it depends. I do tend to use 'drugstore' mascaras as I like to throw them away after three months. With eyeshadows I love the Naked palettes. I did try the cheap dupes. They are fine if you are on a budget, but I did not feel they went on as well or lasted as well as Naked. I do tend to go cheap with nail polish as I find price does not always equal quality with nail polish. With lipstick I find the more expensive brands suit my dry lips better, esp Clinique.0 -
Skincare, not a lot, I have very sensitive skin and many products irritate it. The very occasional facepack and some coconut oil on my face and that's about it.
Hair. Superdrug, costs about £4 every few months. Am naturally blonde and used to be highlighted blonder but decided on a change so currently a choc brown colour. Shampoo, shampoo bars from lush or ebay. Superdrug conditioner.
Make up, superdrug. I dont wear a lot of make up but superdrug stuff isnt tested on animals.
Perfume, lush or M and S, again not animal tested.
I love superdrug nail varnish (mua), £1 a bottle and great staying power.0 -
Not very, but some products I use are quite reasonable for the quality.
Skincare - I tend to stick with Tropic Skincare cleanser (doubles as makeup remover), Botanics toner (in the spray - so easy and saves on cotton wool), and Ponds face cream (currently trying the Body shop vit C cream but it's so expensive! £13!). Palmers cocoa butter for everything else.
Hair - I have to be careful, and I'm in the process of trying different products and whittling it down. I have scalp issues, and have no choice but to use nizoral every once in a while to clear it up but it's £8 for 100ml !!!
Makeup, I'm fussy with but it lasts so long. I prefer L'oreal mascaras which are under a tenner. I also prefer Rimmel nail polish to any other - will never buy an essie or opi polish ever again, they've all been dire. My eyeliner is super duper cheap, less than a pound, and bought abroad in the middle east. I'd rather get a blusher or powder that is the ideal shade and type (ie not glittery!) and pay a bit more than buy stuff I won't really use because I don't like it much. I have the luxury of being able to do that though at the moment.0
