Can I return to Amazon?

I bought a Philips HR7735/80 Click & Go Food processor from Amazon on 12 March. I was using it earlier in the week and one of the blades got stuck on it. I ended up having to turn the whole thing upside down to empty it out, then fill with boiling water to try to dislodge it. Eventually it came off but the next time I went to use it, something in the engine blew up and it's now not working. I suspect some of the water got into it.

I'm not even sure how much is my fault or not but would this be covered by guarantee? Do I go back to amazon or Philips in the first instance and what are my rights? Anyone got anywhere with this? Any advice very gratefully recieved. Or even if anyone has any idea how to fix it? It definitely isn't the fuse cos I checked.

    Contact Amazon.

They are normally brilliant I have returned things just because I don't want them. Nothing more.

They are very quick to reply and are very helpful. Go to your account page and that should help you to contact them.

yes amazon have an excellent returns policy. you will have to pay for return postage upfront but they will reimburse you very quickly.

Amazon are fabulous. But, I would just explain that the blades got stuck and then the engine blew (omit the boiling water bit). They will either offer you a replacement or a refund.

It's a great food processor by the way, just not much cop on grating as it turns out :)
