Recover excel changes

I did some work on an excel spreadsheet yesterday and it appears that the computer was closed down without saving the changes - is there any way that the data entered can be recovered?

It should, I think the default save time is 10 mins. Open up Excel and it should show you the recoverable documents in a panel on the left hand side.
If not, I think Exel might have stored the file as a temp file, but I'd need to look into where that file is stored exactly, but try recovering it through Excel first.

Try having a look in:
\\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel.0 -
No temp files there!0

Unlike Word.. not all versions of Excel autosave automatically, you have to turn it on in options... That said 2007 does have autosave turned on by default!
To see any temp files have a nosey in:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Temp and see if any temp files are in there. You might need to turn on "Show Hidden Files" in folder options in control panel to see them..

If you're running Vista, you can restore previous versions of a file.0
