Bank of Scotland Ultimate Reward Account

We have banked with BOS since October 2010, we initially banked with the Clydesdale however had visited a BOS branch to see a mortgage advisor, when we accepted the mortgage we were told we could only get it if we took their Ultimate Reward Current Account so we signed up for the account that same day and initially paid £12 per month but it has now risen to £15 per month.

We submitted a letter of complaint as we believe we were misold and we have never used any of the products.

We received a phonecall tonight from BOS Customer Services and the girl was very very defensive and off-handish. DH explained we didnt need the account but it was put over to us that we had no other option to take it, she kept asking about out suitability for the account, when DH explained that was irrelevant she stated that he was not understanding the question and kept going on and on about the rewards and the suitability at the time of signing up to the account and if we met the criteria??

All in all we feel very confused after the phone call, she cut off the call eventually and said her supervisor would call back on Monday at some point.

Has anyone else received a call like this when they have made a claim for charged accounts?

Was the mortgage deal you accepted only available to holders of the Ultimate Reward account? Does it say so in the terms of your mortgage?
