Moto g+4g asks for a code when thithering

I have just bought a moto g+4g from tesco unlocked though ebay, however the problem I'm having
when I try to thither the phone it asks for a security code. Has anyone any ideas.

    you can then change the password to something easier to remember,

    Yes, on the Moto G enter a code,lets say password1234 as an example, now on the second device that you wish to tether to the Moto G via wifi you search for the Moto G wifi signal (probably called something like AndroidAP1234 which is displayed next to where you enter the password), connect and when asked for the password you'd enter password1234. Your MotoG is now providing (sharing) the 3G or 4G mobile internet connection with the second device.

    Remember that not all phone networks allow tethering especially on PAYG accounts.

    Oh and obviously do not use password1234 :D
